Gold & Glory in 31st National SHITO RYU Karate Championship - 15

Hi all,
Recently finished 31st National SHITO RYU Karate Championship - 2015 which was held at pithoragadh, Uttrakhand. Pithoragadh sounds new place and indeed its new place and very far (amost nepal border) situated in beautiful mountains & Terrace farms.

Our accomodation and tournament venue was at Sumeru Resort which is also famous place in pithoragadh. Tournament was held during 29th May to 31st May and around 400 participant were participated in this championship from different states of india. As usual in SKSI's Competitions quality is high and talented players participated. every match is challenge to all players in KATA & KUMITE both events. This time challenge for me is to take almost new team to participate in this championship. Almost last many years, my senior team members are participated in all competitions through out the year. So, this time i gave rest to them and make them ready for school games and international competitions. I deal with totally new team this time also small playes in age were participated in this championship. Only 6 Players in Black Belt category who are playing for the last three years and rest are totally new players among the team 27 players.

We had special training session for national team players of mine from starting of may month till we left city for tournament. I was really surprised when i saw new team members with full of energy and spirit to win only. Actually, they also encouraged me to give them more and more tought and technical training to make them perfect for tournament. During 25 days of training session, they done hard work and specially girls were remarkable. All girls are totally high and determinated. In fact, Girls players are boost up and example for boys as they practised with them. After training of whole month, i was satisfied for the training given to new team but i was hopeful for their satisfactory performance. No complain....

But that was miracle by new team. All new members blown by hurricane and they all played awesome. I was working as a referree and judge in compeititon and i saw them so closely and technically the way they played with high confidence. That was really great. I remembered my first team of 10 years ago when they were new and kids. I was really Happy and proud that i have prepared next brigade who can be champs in future. What should i say about senior team of brown and black belts??!! they are used to win gold medals but this time all were astonished to see them while performing KATA like Bassai Dai, Seinchin, Gojushio, Kushanku and Suprenpie etc. All senior players got gold in Kata event and that made me so happy and proud. Afrer long time, i saw my new team who are born for karate the way they played and passionate for Karate & Judo. This happiness and success become reached on top level when my senior team performed demonstration of self defense. All are surprised the way team performed.

Well, great expierence of pithoradh which is really far but credit goes to our Sensei Lal Darda who really dare to conduct successful competition at any place of India. We are really thankful to him to show real karate and updated latest in karate.

At last, afer a long journey, just two days back we all returned our home. Eyes of new players are shining with success and they have become more confident. again, practise and DOJO will start for practice to achieve more success in 2015-16 year. Thanks to parents also who keep faith in me and they are also equal for this success.
Thanks all....

Advance KATA & KUMITE Training Camp - 2015

Hi All,

After busy schedule of tournaments for last many months, finally got time to improve more on techniques. After observing team played in tournaments, their strength and weak point came out. So got perfect time to improve the skills in KATA & KUMITE both for next events and tournaments.

As Karate is going to be popular as Sport all over the world and in this case, player must be improved himm/her self to get succes. This practise is endless. Senior Category Players must be aware for their improvement for better result. for this purpos, i invite Sensei Ashok Darda who is Cheif Instructor of SHITO RYU KARATE SCHOOL OF INDIA and Son of Sensei Lal Darda who is the director of AIKF & Founder of SHITO RYU KARATE SCHOOL OF INDIA. Sensei Ahok Darda is 5th Degree Black Belt and Gold Medalist in AIKF and also participated in AKF (Asian Karate Do Federation).

We conducted camp for 3 Days from 3rd April to 5th April - 2015. 27 Karate Players of my team who are brown and black belt were participated in this camp.

On 3rd April - 2015, Evening Camp between 05-30 PM to 08-00PM. On first day, we had special warm up and basic practise of Punch and kicks to charge our body and stemina. After that, we improved the techniques for GOJUSHI HO KATA and made it perfect.. After that, we also done practise of CHATTANYARA KUSHANKU KATA which is long as well as challenging KATA. Sensei Ashok showed good techniques to perform that KATA and almot one hour we done practise ot this KATA. At Last, we had some streching exercise to make our body relax with some meditation.

On 4th April - 2015, that was second day of camp. We had session of morning and evening both around 3 hours. All were very excited to learn new KATA which is very chellanging and attractive KATA and thats SUPERINPAI. This is the first tiime we start to learn this KATA. So, from the begining we are very exciited and much concentrated to learn this KATA. This KATA is favourite of Sensei Ashok Darda so he also taught us this KATA with so much interest.. Good thing is in SUPERINPAI KATA , Many steps are reapting so its easy to remember the steps of this KATA but perfection is very important. and for any kata more and more practise is very important to make it more perfect, its never done in one day or one week only. its life time practise. On second day, morning and evening both times we just learned this kata.

On 5th April - 2015, that was third and last day of training camp. We had also session in the morning as well as in the evening for 3 hours. In the morning, we done lots of warm up exercise, streching exercise and played some martial arts game to improve stemina and strength. After that we repeated all three KATA i.e GOJUSHI HO, CHATTANYARA KUSHANKU & SUPERINPAI again and again to make it perfect. In the evening session, Sensei Ashok Darda strated to give training of KUMITE Techniques. Almost two hours, We all done practise of Combination techniques for Gyaku Tsuki, Oi Tsuki, Mawashi Geri and throwing techniques also. Lots of new things found out to iimprove KUMITE and after that training players looked so  confident for KUMITE and out team is also famous for KUMITE as they have good skills of KUMITE and always brought good result from district level to international levl.

Overall, Those three days finished in karate training only and we did not get to know when its finished. On those three days we just eat karate, drink karate and sleep karate only. I just tell all karate players and instructors also that regular training is very important to improve our skills and Karate is an art so its never ending process and practising till last breath.

Special thanks to Sensei Ashok Darda who came specially ahmedabad from delhi and spare precious and maximum tiime to teach us and also happy to see my senior team who participated willingly in this camp.

Amazing Victory in AIKF Tournament - 2015

Hey All,

Again since a long time. But this time lots of happiness to share with you who regularly view my blog. This happiness because of victory in All India Karate Do Federation (AIKF) Tournament. Its always a dream of all indian karatekas to win medal in AIKF Tournament because its very prestigious tournament in india. This time 5 players of my team particiapted in this championship and 4 players won medals in it and not only won but most happiest moment that one player named kushal shah got gold medal in kumite event. He not only won gold medal but also won silver medal in team kata and bronze medal in individual kata event in 14-15 Years age category. In 16-17 Years age, Mansi Chavda won bronze medal in kumite event while 18+ years age category, Kinnari Joshi won silver medal in kumite event and Kunal Joshi won bronze medal in Team Kata Event.

Its not only won medals but this time almost 1000 participants participated in this championship from 26 teams of various states including Police Team and CRPF Team. In each bout there were almost 30-40 players who are excellant of their own states. So, the level of tournament was tough and attractive by genuine karate players. KATA performed by all players, it seemed like the high level of karte .i.e WKF. Mostly all KUMITE fought heart biting and exciting.

That's the reason to be happy because in this tough tournament to win any medal is big achievement itself. Gujarat team is made by 45 players of different age category and won 35 medals. This is the biggest achievement for gujarat in any AIKF Tournament before.

The tournament held at Hotel Jaipur Green, 5 Star hotel with huge space to play. Amazing views and all good facilites. I am very much thankful to our Sensei, Sensei Lal Darda who taught us real karate and because of this our team perforemed like karate knight in this AIKF.
