28th National SHITO RYU KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP - 2012

success comes to those who dare & act

yeah, i have just returned on sunday morning from chail. Himachal Pradesh and successfully finished 28th National SHITO RYU Karate Championship - 2012. Team performed very well and won many medals for gujarat state. But this time, it was really a long journey and needs so much stamina to reach at chail, HP because it is just hilly area all around and so much turning through out the way from chandigadh.

We were all enjoyed but we  felt peace after we reached at home because lots of busy schedule and traveling made us so fatigue this time.

Believe in Quality not in Quantity

Once again Summer Vacation is very near and exam is just near to finish. This make me laugh that different activities centres are just run here and there for vacation batch and coaching camp held at various places. Some are literally fight to occupy some place to start their activity. These activities teachers or coach just start to talk about the quantity of their centres. They just start to count how many centres they got to run their summer camp for their particular activities. I often meet these kind of teachers or coach and they just start to count their centres and talk very high with lots of worthless pride. It really make me so irritate to bear. They never talk about their method of coaching or quality of teaching. They never plan for what they want to teach the students who will come to them in summer but they just competes with others that how many schools or centres he got than me. it sound ridiculous. anyway, its all about the culture what people live here but i am also happy for some of those students and parents who really recognize the quality and standard of teaching at some particular place. I just remember one story here that i would like to share with u…

Once upon a time, there was a baker who made the best cookies in the whole word. People would stand in line just to be able to purchase a single cookie and when they ate it, they would feel an overwhelming sense of happiness. Each cookie was unique and a masterpiece. But the baker could only produce three or four each day.

One day a cookie company contacted the baker and offered to mass produce his cookies. A factory was built near the original bakery, which was bulldozed to make a parking lot. The new cookies looked the same and were made with the same ingredients, but they were not the same. They lost their uniqueness. When people bought them, they tasted like ordinary cookies.

After selling millions of the new cookies, the baker became disillusioned. He missed making masterpieces. And so he decided to make a new bakery and start over again.
Unfortunately, the cookie company obtained an injunction preventing the baker from ever selling his cookies again, as he had sold them his rights.
And so the baker retired and dreamed for the rest of his life about his original cookies.
The moral of the story is that three or four masterpieces are better than a million ordinary cookies.

I hope that story is enough to understand for those who just run blindly here and there for thinking of quantity of centres but never work hard to generate the quality. But i just believe in the quality work and i just try that i ever produce that talent in my dojo which will be the best and leading example for rest…

here i share some of the photos of my dojo regarding function and demonstration…

I am Professional, Not Commercial

100_2780

Today, morning came out awesome. I had some time to spend on my terrace with a cup of tea and news paper before i went for my work. Generally, i found that to read the news in beautiful morning is just like to kill our hopes and energy before we start our day. We are very much used to read about corruption, fraud and immorality but some news sting in my eyes is that people become so much commercial. Most ridiculous thing is that they believe themselves  professional in the name of commercial. We understand that there is very little difference between professional and commercial. But we are enough mature to understand very clearly about these two things.

Today, in all profession money is matter. people run after money like they will never earn it back again in their lives. Definitely, money is important but to get that by throwing your ethics and dignity of your level is not professionalism. We have seen that some starts are dancing in marriages and act like very funny in many events, is it professionalism?? Many sports stars act in cold drink add like they are comic characters, are they professional?? One should think about his/her standard and level what they have achieved after a long journey of hard work. It is really painful to be so commercial for some money and some importance. I used the word importance not respect because respect is not a thing to give by money but it just flows by the behaviour of people. People just believe that i want something because i have given something and for that they are ready to do any kind of circus and try worthless efforts to be popular.

Professionalism contains many good qualities.

1. You must follow your time for what you are at particular place.

2.Give your best when you tried to become best.

3. Think for your customers who pay you to get best from u.

4. Pick up your phone within two rings and not avoid the call but if you miss the call then call back.

5. Maintain your respect and dignity for what you are known and not to sell yourself but create yourself.

There are many things but i just believe in these simple things. A motivated thing i have heard once that one of indian sports star just refuse the big amount of contract to act in one cold drink company because he just believe that this cold drink is harmful for sportsman’s body then why should i misguide the young generation of india by acting in this advertisement that cold drink is harmful for professional players. This is call professionalism.

I am also watching (facing also) this kind of commercial mentality in my karate-judo field also. This reality show, i tell u, ha ha, its really finish the innocence in children. I  saw some marital arts demonstration on  reality show and after that judges just criticised those performers. It really painful for me to listen that criticism as a coach and a player. Surely, martial art demonstration can performed in entertaining way but in front of them who understand the value of that hardship bear by those performers during practise. It can be performed in front of them who understand the value of each movement for what performers had done fifty times. To perform in front of some B grade actors who are judge is just insulting your art and identity. But i also blame to those martial art performers who run after this for some money and believe that their shop of coaching is run good after shown on TV. Better they do hard work for championship and improve the quality in their art. To break some bricks and tiles and break with fires is not martial art. It happens in circus also.

I also performed demo and also create the demo of my students in entertaining way with qualities of techniques. We performed that in competitions and in reputed functions where it is respected. Many advise me to take my team on such kind of reality show and perform but i am professional but not commercial where my team performed who dont know the basic how to hit punch. I also found some karate examination of karate belt gradation where parents are standing with children and taking photo and instructor also doing the same thing. This is a big joke in the name of karate exam and emotional killing of innocence students. Media is always  welcome in championship and seminar where they coverage the motive of event and highlight the real karatekas.

I practise and teach karate – judo on professional base where i can generate my quality and i give best to my students what i have learned best from my guru. I prepared them so perfect in field where no one can doubt for their quality and results. I prepared them for that kind of demo who never forget for a long time. And i have charged for this only. ITS MY PROFESSIONLISM THAT I BELIEVE.

thanks to all students and parents who trust in me and that trust activate me more for my karatekas to bring them top of the level of karate-judo.

thanks to read this blog.
